A RETIRED policeman was arrested after police found two unlicensed firearms in his house in barangay Suba, Danao City, northern Cebu.

Venturado Gutual Dagwan, 64, did not resist arrest.

Dagwan failed to show documents that the .45 caliber pistol and .38 cal. revolver were licensed, said Supt. Fermin Armendarez III, deputy chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas.

Armendarez said that the raid was made after they received reports that Dagwan was seen brandishing a firearm outside his house.

A search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Soliver Peras was used in the raid. Dagwan refused to comment on his arrest.

He was assigned at the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) when he was still in the police service.
