A couple of weeks from today, Cebu shall attempt to set about breaking not only 1 but 2 world records for the Largest Human Pink Ribbon Formation and Largest Zumba Class in the world. As the city with the most records on its roster, Cebu is the ideal place for this historical and momentous event.
To accomplish both records, Cebu will need to break the current record of India at 6,847 for the Largest Human Pink Ribbon Formation and 6,671 for the Largest Zumba Class still by India.
Together, on October 18, (Saturday 5pm- start of the world record attempt, 3pm – assembly time), Cebuano’s shall take themselves and friends to the North Parking Area (behind Radisson Blu) of SM City Cebu to enjoy a family bonding time, memorable for all to experience 2 world record attempts in 1 day in 1 venue and in 1 city. Participants shall receive a Pink Bandana for the Largest Pink Ribbon Formation and a numbered wristband. For the Largest Zumba Class, participants shall Zumba for a minimum time of 30 minutes. Zumba Instructors shall lead participants to a very basic Zumba exercise. For the Largest Human Pink Ribbon Formation, participants shall get into an outlined ribbon on the signal of the adjudicator and stay for 5 minutes for an aerial shot.
This laudable and historical event is spearheaded by CebuZIN (Zumba Instructors Network) and Rotary Club of Cebu Fuente for their beneficiaries World Vision and ICANSERVE, respectively.
