“Even during the time while he was not yet appointed, police officials in Cebu City have been seeking his advice on law enforcement matters. Wala nasayod ang kadaghanan ani. General Debold Sinas has been very material in our law enforcement initiatives in the city,” Macatangay said.
Macatangay added that there is nothing for the public to fear about Sinas’ appointment.
“Probably those that will fear him are those ones nga mga kriminal na ba? Mga gahig ulo. I think they should fear the law enforcement sector because we will really run after them. It’s not about sir Debold Sinas, it’s about them knowingly committing the crime,” she added.
On July 4, 2022, Sinas accepted the offer of Mayor Michael Rama for him to become part of his management team as a member of the City Advisory Board that oversees peace and order concerns here.
