Two persons including a Japanese college student were injured in a collision between a tricycle she rode in and a motorcycle driver along the national highway in sitio Kapilyahan, barangay Guinsay, Danao City last Tuesday evening.

SPO1 Renante Manulat of the Danao City police said 19-year-old Satomi Lucero Sato, a second year college student, sustained leg injuries while 21-year-old motorcycle rider Algie Enemecio Giango’s arms were injured.

Manulat said the tricycle driven by 37-year-old Sesenio Montes Lao Jr. was headed to Carmen town along with Giango and another unidentified motorcycle rider.

The unidentified motorcycle rider tried to overtake Giango only to hit him.

Giango rammed into the tricycle causing it to nearly flip over.

The unidentified motorcycle rider fell off after hitting the rear portion of the tricycle only to pick himself up and speed away.

The victims were brought to the hospital.
