Rookie cop arrests rob suspect

By: Chito O. Aragon November 14,2014 - 01:04 AM

A rookie policeman arrested a man accused of robbing jeepney passengers on Gen. Maxilom Ave. in Cebu City yesterday morning.

A hunting knife and a pack of suspected shabu were recovered from Danilo Felicitas when he was arrested by PO1 Erwin Barabad.

Police said Felicitas was previously jailed for theft. He was released from Cebu City Jail last September.

Barabad, a beat patrolman assigned at General Maxilom Ave., said he noticed a commotion inside the jeepney and rushed to check.

Barabad arrested Felicitas when passengers accused him of trying to rob them.

Felicitas denied the accusation.

He said he drew a knife to protect himself after a co-passenger tried to attack him.
