Balamban faith healer Casiano “Tatay Loloy” Apduhan pleaded “not guilty” to charges of murder in relation to the discovery of the decomposing remains of a 14-year-old boy in a pit inside his residence last March.

Apduhan was arraigned before Judge Ruben Altubar of the Regional Trial Court Branch 29 in Toledo City yesterday morning.

Apduhan, through his lawyer Paulino Labrado had asked the court to allow him to post bail, claiming that the prosecution’s evidence is weak.

The court scheduled the first bail hearing to Feb. 2, 2015 due to the absence of the prosecution witnesses yesterday.

Aside from murder, Apduhan is also facing human trafficking,  serious illegal detention and illegal possession of firearms. Like in the murder case, the faith healer had also asked the court to be allowed to post bail in human trafficking and serious illegal detention cases.

Apduhan, is detained at the Toledo City Jail.
