While the 25-year old mother of baby Ruby is currently admitted in a hospital in the town.

¨Amo lang siya ug hinay-hinay ug storya. Wala pa pud me kahibalo ug unsay iyang problema,¨ she added.

(We are talking with her. We still do not know what is her problem.)

The father of baby Ruby is also taking care of the 25-year-old mother at the hospital.

Shalaine Marie S. Lucero, DSWD-7 Assistant Regional Director for Operations told CDN that there will be no charges that will be filed against the mother.

¨We really do not know the problem why the mother did that. What we do here in DSWD is to help those in need for them to get back to their normal self-functioning.

The DSWD, she added, is ready to give the mother psychological counseling ones she is out of  confinement.

Their office can offer assistance to the baby like milk, food assistance and medical assistance.

Lucero also explained that the local office needs to evaluate the mother if she has the capability to take care of her own child after what happened.
