A couple in Malabuyoc town, southern Cebu lost more than P130,000 worth of cash and jewelry to five robbers who  include a former neighbor, at dawn yesterday.

Businessman Antonio Alloso, 44,  his wife Marimel, 42, and their two daughters were in the house in barangay Mindanao when someone knocked on the door.

Insp. Andres Alpas, officer-in-charge of the Malabuyoc Municipal Police Office, said  Alloso opened the door  and the five men armed with guns barged in and declared a hold-up.

Alloso however was able to identify Alberto Telebanco, 33, who was their former neighbor, as among the robbers.

Telebanco reportedly left the town and transferred to Barili and later to barangay Talamban in Cebu City. He was allegedly  accused of theft by their neighbors in Malabuyoc. Police are pursuing the suspects.
