Police fatally shot a man whom they tried to accost for carrying a gun in barangay Lorega, Cebu City at past midnight Friday.
Rizalino Lambo, 32, a resident of sitio Itom Yuta, barangay Lorega died instantly due to several gunshot wounds in the body.
Supt. Romeo Santander, chief of the City Intelligence Branch of the Cebu City Police Office, said they received a call about the presence of an armed person in the area. A CIB team went to the area and allegedly saw Lambo having drinks with his friends.
When the policemen approached the group, Lambo allegedly pulled out a gun from his waistband forcing the lawmen to shoot him.
