A teenage boy and woman were killed while 10 were injured when the multicab they were riding overturned at 2 p.m. Monday in barangay Butong, Ronda town, southern Cebu.
The victims were on their way to church to attend the funeral mass of a relative.
It was raining that day and the road was slippery, said PO1 Josephus Diana of Ronda police station.
The driver, 16-year-old, Elever Pamor, lost control of the vehicle and was among the injured.
Camilo Manca, 16, and Emilda Gaquing, 46, both of barangay Can-abujon, Ronda died instantly as they were thrown out of the vehicle and their heads hit the gutter of the road.
Injured passengers were identified as Victoria Manca, 57; Sergia Lirazan 75; Erlinda Malabago, 54; Leonardo Cajero, 70; Wenifreda Malabago, 47; Langita Manca, 47; Victoria Pamor, 57; Irish Pamor, 18; and the teenage driver.
The victims were brought to a hospital in Cebu City except the driver, who had minor injuries.
