THE SENIOR San Roque Youth Organization (SSRYO) put up a dominating performance and routed the Lorega Proper Youth Organization (LPYO), 70-50, in the 12-under division of the ongoing Lorega-Echavez Youth Council (LEYC) Basketball Tournament last Tuesday at the Lower Lawis basketball court.
Carl Codilla single-handedly carried SSRYO by scoring a whopping 42 points.
Codilla’s teammates Jay Poro and Lauren Cabato added nine and seven markers, respectively.
Polpol Ingente scored 23 and Christian Mangyao had 20 for the losing squad.
In the second game, Samayo won over Gawad Kalinga-Phantom, 42-36, behind Charlie Bacarisas’s 18-point outing.
Fred Amante chipped in 11.
James Parlingayan scored 17 for Gawad Kalinga-Phantom.
In the third game, San Antonio De Padua Youth Org. (SADPYO) won a low-scoring game over Caimito Community Org. (CCO), 41-33.
Reynaldo Lacuna and Azinet Cabrera led the winning squad with 14 points each.
Matheo Olmilla and Manuel Galapin combined for 24 points for the losing squad.
