Simulation race for Cebu City Triathlon postponed
CORNERSTONE Group, the organizers of the Cebu City Triathlon, has decided to postpone the simulation race scheduled for today to next Saturday.
The organizers, in a statement posted on its Facebook page, said it doesn’t want the simulation race to disturb the participants of the Sinulog sa Kabataan event, which will also be held today.
“Due ot the overwhelming attendance of the Sinulog Sa Kabataan contingents today, January 10, 2015, the Cebu City Sports Center will be closing all of its facilities. The simulation will be postponed to next Saturday, January 17, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m,” the statement read.
The simulation race was supposed to give participants a taste of what’s to come during race day on Jan. 25. The race will be starting and finishing at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).
Its 750-meter swim will be held in the Cebu City Aquatics Center at the CCSC while the bike leg will traverse some of the city’s major thoroughfares. The run portion will be along Osmeña Boulevard.
