Because Sinulog is the time when rich Cebuano culture is hugely celebrated, it is also fitting to showcase Cebuano talents and artistry honed by passion, inspiration and experience. SM City Cebu opened Cebu! Cebu!, a two-week exhibit featuring world-class furnitures and accessories crafted by seven established designers in Cebu, last January 16.

The exhibit showcases the collections of D’oro Barandino, Kenneth Cobonpue, Debbie Palao, Bernice Montenegro, Ferdinand “Aztick” Villarin and Rodriguez sisters Vikki and Paula. Now on its sixth year, the exhibit has been featuring renowned artists and designers who have carved their names on their industries both locally and internationally. “This year’s exhibitors are all credible and established designers. It’s good for Cebuanos to see these fresh, unique products from these artists because they are not something Cebuanos usually see,” said chairman of Cebu! Cebu! D’oro Barandino who’s also one of the exhibitors. Paula Rodriguez also added that the exhibit also aims to show Cebuanos “how our local products are made to become a piece of art” and are “chosen by the international market”.

Cebu! Cebu! exhibit is at the Northwing of SM City Cebu and will run until January 31.
