USJ-R bet places 9th in nursing exam

A GRADUATE of the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) made it to the top 10 of the Nursing Licensure Examinations  held in November last year.

Vizmarc Valles Santos tied for the 9th spot with 11 other examinees.  He is the lone graduate from a Cebu university who made to the top 10.

In a radio dyLA report, Santos, 21, graduated cum laude from USJ-R. He hails from Dalaguete town and is the youngest of  four children of Cipriano and Daisy Santos.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday that 15,292 out of 26,690 passed the Nursing Licensure Examinations held in the cities of Manila, Bacolod, Baguio, Cabanatuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao,

Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

There are 60 topnotchers but only Elijah Catacutan Legaspi, a graduate of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, occupies the topmost spot.

Cebu Doctors’ University is the only school in Cebu that made it to the list of top performing schools.

About 112 out of 119 CDU examinees passed the examination that landed the school on the seventh spot with a passing percentage rate of 94.12.

The schools in the number one spot with 100 percent passing rate are Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation, Saint Paul University – Iloilo, Saint Paul University – Tuguegarao and Xavier University.
