TAEKWONDO gold medalists for the Cebu City Niños in the recent 2015 Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (Cviraa) meet will be going to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam as part of the Philippine national team that will be seeing action in the 12th Asean Taekwondo Federation (ATF) Championships on March 20 to 28.

University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters taekwondo head coach Michael Realista told Cebu Daily News yesterday that 67 jins of the national team will be fighting for honor and glory against national teams from the Southeast Asia region in the eight-day kickfest.

Of the 67, eight of them are Cebuanos and six are from UC. They are Zozen Prajes, Mayn Yengele Coran, Veronica Garces, Sal Luigi Estrada, Wendil Jay Rama and Dineson Wilrej Caneda. The two others are Talisay City Central School’s Royda Jane Ranile and Child Learning School’s Anne Sharmaine Albarracin.

UC athletic director Bernard Ricablanca said the school is supporting the campaign of their jins and have, in fact, already released their allowances yesterday.
Realista and his eight jins will leave for Manila on March 16.
