LPG price up by P73.15 per 11-kg cylinder starting Friday

MANILA -The price of liquefied petroleum gas or LPG will rise for the second month in a row by as much as P6.65 per kilogram on Friday, Sept. 1, according to local oil companies.

In an advisory on Thursday night, Petron said it would raise the price of an 11-kilogram LPG cylinder by P73.15 per tank.

The price of AutoLPG will likewise increase by P3.70 per liter.

“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of September,” Petron said in a statement.

In August, the price of an 11-kg cylinder LPG rose by P50.05.

According to the Department of Energy, the prevailing retail prices of LPG in Metro Manila range from P718 to P935 per tank.

Oil companies last cut the price of cooking gas in July by P3.70 per kg or P40.70 per 11-kg cylinder.
