2nd City Kings Fight League to feature 9 bouts on Saturday

CEBU CITY, Philippines — It’s all systems go for the “City Kings Fight League: Collision” MMA and kickboxing fight card that unfolds on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Cebu City Sports Institute. 

Its main event will feature Yaw-Yan Musang’s Virgil Abadia Jr. and Mark “The Butcher” Andales of JBDream Fitness Gym fighting under kickboxing rules.

The protagonists of the 10-bout fight card passed the mandatory weigh-in on Friday, September 1, 2023. Abadia weighed 189.6 pounds while Andales tipped the scales at 188.6 lbs.

Meanwhile, the co-main event pits Winnie Dela Serna of Deftac Cebu-Vagabond MMA against Cebu MMA’s Castieal Castro.

Dela Serna weighed 182 lbs, while Castro stepped on the scales at 174.6 lbs. for their MMA bout.

The rest of the MMA undercard bouts will feature Norman Yrastorza (Survival MMA Club) versus Taiga Orii (JBDream Fitness Gym), Daeryoung Kim (Deftac Cebu-Vagabond MMA) vs. Johnrick Delima (Hyper Eagle MMA), Tim Rama vs. Linboy Zapanta, Gervhenz Walter Silod (Seldef MMA Club) vs. Nathan Calica (Survival MMA), Kim Bisbal (Hyper Eagle MMA) vs. Zenneth Pacible (Ronin JJ-Project X), Geronimo Etac (Yaw-Yan Taijutsu) vs. Albert Espinosa (Vagabond MMA), and Allan Refuela (Strive MMA) vs. Justine Burlaos (Arcomjukai).   

This fight card served as City Kings Fight League’s second-promoted MMA/kickboxing event.

Last February, they successfully held their maiden fight card at the old Sacred Heart School gymnasium, which featured eight bouts.
