Isuzu Cebu Inc. launched the 2015 edition of the Isuzu Crosswind Tuesday at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel.
The Crosswind is Isuzu’s flagship model that has been consistently among the top contenders in the Asian Utility Vehicle (AUV) market.
Already in its 15th year since being launched in 2001, the Crosswind remains the top AUV in Region 7, according to Isuzu Cebu Inc. general manager Steve Gingco.
The 2015 edition of the Crosswind will feature a new grille, new headlight and a new logo design that backs up its new theme “Active, Sporty and Tough.” It will be available in five different variants with prices ranging from P800,000 to around P1.2 million.
Joseph Bautista, marketing head of Isuzu Philippines Corp., said he is expecting the new Crosswind to continue selling well despite its age.
“It’s multi-purpose, the engine is fuel efficient and durable, and the vehicle itself is very durable,” Bautista said.
Isuzu Cebu Inc. president Rene Paningbatan, meanwhile, said the reason why the Crosswind maintains its strong presence in the market is because it has lived up to its original purpose of being a reliable and dependable vehicle.
