CEBU CITY – Smartsourcing, a leading sustainability-focused business service company, cemented its partnership with Pagtambayayong Foundation Inc. (PFI), through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony on October 6, 2023, at Smartsourcing’s headquarters.

Pagtambayayong Foundation has been at the forefront of uplifting communities and championing environmental causes. The foundation’s notable initiatives include providing affordable housing for urban underprivileged populations, raising awareness about climate change, repurposing waste materials into economic products, and planting bamboo trees for a sustainable ecosystem.
Smartsourcing’s partnership with Pagtambayayong FoundationI is a remarkable synergy between corporate sustainability and community betterment. As part of this collaboration, Smartsourcing will contribute used coffee grounds to Pagtambayayong Foundation’s tree-planting efforts. These coffee grounds will serve as natural fertilizers, enhancing the growth of trees and nurturing our environment.
In addition, Smartsourcing is committed to providing empty milk cartons to be ingeniously repurposed by Pagtambayayong Foundation into sustainable bags, as well as sewing machines to make said bags. This initiative aligns with both organizations’ goals to reduce waste and promote eco-friendly alternatives.
“Climate change needs everyone to get together for us to solve decarbonization. And we’re very happy that Smartsourcing is taking the right steps in the right direction.” Said Paula Fernandez, Executive Director of Pagtambayayong Foundation.
“We’re also very happy that they tapped Pagtambayayong, because Pagtambayayong really works with grassroots communities, and it’s very important for them to be connected to other groups to amplify their voices.” She added.
Furthermore, Smartsourcing is dedicated to being an active participant in Pagtambayayong Foundation’s tree-planting activities by volunteering their time and resources. Smartsourcing aims to make a tangible impact on reforestation efforts and contribute to the greening of our communities.
