Magis Eagles dump Greywolves for 5th straight win
CEBU CITY, Philippines—The SHS-AdC Magis Eagles dominated the Don Bosco Technology-Center (DBTC) Greywolves, 95-57, in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (Cesafi) high school basketball on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the Cebu Coliseum.
The Magis Eagles, the defending champions in the high school division stretched their winning streak to five games for a 5-1 (win-loss) record.
They also grabbed the No. 2 spot in the team standings behind league-leader University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu Mandaue Webmasters.
They dislodged the erstwhile No. 2 team, the USJ-R Baby Jaguars which has a 3-0 card.
Meanwhile, the Greywolves suffered their sixth loss in seven games.
The Greywolves are still seeking their first legitimate win since their lone victory came from an overturned result versus the USP-F Baby Panthers last October 8.

During the game, the Magis Eagles erected a commanding 17-point lead, 44-27, at halftime.

This after the Magis Eagles stretched their lead to 22 points, 65-43, heading into the final period.
Not satisfied with their huge lead, the Magis Eagles finished off the hapless Greywolves by extending their advantage to 42 points, 93-51, in the end game. /rcg
