Man wounded in fight with drinking buddy

CEBU CITY, Philippines— A drinking session took a turn for the worse when two drinking buddies got into a fight.
The altercation ensued when one of them, Dante Sagome, refused to continue drinking as he was already intoxicated.
Sagome sustained a wound in his face after his buddy, Eric Baron, allegedly struck him with a glass on the evening of December 17, 2023, Sunday, in Barangay Jaguimit, City of Naga, Cebu.
Police investigation revealed that the disagreement erupted during their drinking spree because Sagome wanted to stop drinking due to his intoxicated state.
Baron purportedly attacked Sagome’s face with a glass, resulting in injuries that required treatment at Naga Infirmary.
Subsequently, Baron surrendered to the duty barangay tanod and was turned over to the police station.
