THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos (USC) dominated the M. Lhuillier-Cebu Youth Basketball League Vis-Min Goodwill Games 2015 as it came away with the under-12 and under-15 titles over the weekend at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.

In the under-12 class, USC weathered a slow start and retaliated with a huge second period burst that gave it full control of the lead that eventually netted the Baby Warriors a 66-40 victory over the University of the Visayas.

In the under-15 division, USC steadily built on a 13-12 first period lead and never looked back to grab a 53-38 victory against the University of San Jose-Recoletos and complete the Baby Warriors’ sweep of the crowns in this competition.

The M. Lhuillier-CYBL Vis-Min Goodwill Games 2015 is an annual event hosted by SHS-Ateneo de Cebu with the goal of providing exposure and tournament-experience for the Under 15 and 12 age groups. Twenty-four teams joined the event, including teams from Iloilo, Bacolod, Tagbilaran, Ormoc and Cagayan de Oro.

“We are very grateful for the turnout of the games and the overwhelming support from all the teams and their parents, and of course. M. Lhuillier Philippines,” said tournament organizer Rico Navarro.
