A MAN was killed after he allegedly jumped from the skywalk near a shopping mall in Fuente Rotunda, Cebu City before noon yesterday.
Police identified the fatality as Rodulfo Abig, a native of Quezon City.
Police said witnesses saw the man leap from the railings of the skywalk near Robinson’s Place.
“Mura gyod og Spider man kay ni dive man siya (He was like Spiderman because he dived into the pavement),” said Maricel Pain, a vendor in the area who saw the incident.
The man landed on the concrete pavement head first, said police.
He was brought to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center but was declared dead by the attending physician.
The incident caused a traffic jam in the area.
Police said further investigation will be made to determine what drove the man to jump.
