A 54-YEAR-OLD widower was fatally stabbed by his 22-year-old son following a heated argument inside their house in barangay Bangbang, Cordova town, Cebu.
Everhesto Cardente suffered multiple stab wounds in the back. He was already dead when police and paramedics arrived in his house shortly after the attack last Wednesday night.
The suspect, Kent Cardente, surrendered to barangay tanods, who later turned him over to the police.
Police said the two men argued when the father reprimanded his son for not washing the dishes after dinner.
At the height of the argument, the son took a kitchen knife and stabbed his father repeatedly, said PO2 Erwin Libranda, investigator of the Cordova Police Station.
