A RETIRED policeman was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants in barangay Calamba, Cebu City last Friday night.
Crisologo Tabares, 48, came from a lotto outlet and was walking home when he was waylaid.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was brought to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center but did not make it alive.
Police are still investigating the motive of the attack.
The victim was a former operative of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas.
