PACKS of suspected shabu worth at least P500,000 were seized, and two men were arrested in a buy-bust operation in barangay Poblacion, Toledo City, Cebu.

Arrested were Rolando Macapaz and his companion Rolando Jamili, who was shot by police in the leg after he tried to resist arrest.

Macapaz is considered a level three drug pusher capable of selling 200 grams of shabu a week, said Senior Insp. Jovito Labra, deputy police chief of the Toledo Police Station.

Police said the two men were monitored for two weeks before the buy-operation was made around 4 p.m. Tuesday.

A poseur-buyer bought a pack of suspected shabu worth P200 from the two men.

When the two men noticed the presence of the policemen, Jamili drew a .45 caliber pistol. This  prompted police to shoot him.

A wounded Jamili tried to run but police cornered him.

Seized from Macapaz’s possession were a big pack and five medium-sized packs of  shabu worth P550,000, police said.
