The 20-year-old nursing graduate of Velez College was rewarded for her faith and hard work with an 8th-place finish in the top 10 of the nursing board exams, securing an 84.4 percent rating.
She was given a link by her classmate, Paolo Julian Tabañag, on the results of the exams on Facebook and she found her name in the top 10.
Though she graduated with no honors, Desiderio finished high school with honors in La Consolacion College-Liloan.
She also graduated with honors at the Colegio de San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City.
“I had to wake up really early to attend the review. And I was usually tired when I got home that I didn’t have the energy to study anymore,” Desiderio said.
