From January to June, 33 Cebu City Hall employees have tested positive of drug use.
Two are regular employees. The rest are casual and job order employees.
For the month of June, 18 employees tested positive of drug use during random drug tests conducted by the Cebu City Office on Substance Abuse Prevention (COSAP).
Dr. Alice Utlang, head of COSAP, said the situation was alarming because aside from the increasing number this year, among those who tested positive for drug use were three female employees.
Yesterday, 39 employees of the Cebu City Agriculture Department underwent a drug test and all of them tested negative.
However, one was absent during the test.
