BOXING superstar Manny Pacquiao was officially named as team manager of the Letran Knights in the NCAA.

According to a report on Inquirer.net, Letran’s representative to the management committee, Fr. Vic Calvo, confirmed the deal was finalized on Wednesday evening for the eight-division world champion to support the team’s campaign.

The writing was already on the wall for this development as new Letran head coach Aldin Ayo is currently Pacquiao’s assistant coach on the PBA squad, Kia.

The Knights also competed under the banner of MP Hotel in the PBA D-League.

Meanwhile, the San Beda Red Lions wasted no time in getting their second win in a row as they destroyed the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals, 108-80, yesterday at the Arena in San Juan.

Sporting a complete roster with the return of Nigerian center Ola Adeogun and lead guard Baser Amer, the Red Lions put the game away early as they led by 21 points, 58-37, at halftime and cruised to their second win in as many games.

After a fiery first game, Art dela Cruz continued to fire on all cylinders as he piled up 22 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.

AC Soberano and Adeogun added a dozen each while guard Dan Sara chipped in 11.
