Cosep, Bartolo victorious in HRRACI Fun Run

DAVAO City’’s Elmer Bartolo and Carla Cosep were crowned the fastest runners in the 10-kilometer distance of the Hotel, Resort and Restaurant Association of Cebu Inc. (HRRACI) Fun Run 2015 that started and ended at the Cebu Grand Hotel grounds last Saturday.

Bartolo, a consistent podium finisher in local races, finally finished on top in the men’s race, crossing the finish line with a time of 35 minutes and 39 seconds. Cosep topped the distaff side after clocking 53:58.

Bartolo outlasted Arnel Florentino, who finished second with a time of 36:00 while Desedrio Ingbino rounded off the top three with a time of 36:22.

Cosep edged veteran and multi-titled Cristy Sevellino, who came in second  with a time of 55:06, while Solitaire Gallos settled for third place, clocking  56:11.

The 5k distance was a photo finish between Ranilo Gabilan and Azlan Pagay. Gabilan edged Pagay with a time of 19:46.050 while the latter clocked 19:46.730.

Anita Balaga topped the 5k distaff side with a time of 26:49.

Winners in the 3k race were Jomar Fejer (12:33) and Cara Bello (12:51).

The race, participated mostly by employees of different hotels, resorts and restaurants in Cebu, is part of the ongoing annual sportsfest of the HRRACI.

It was handled by Joel Baring’s Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts.
