TWO KARATEKAS from the Hayashi-ha Shitoryukai Karate-do of Cebu were assured of seats to the Milo  International Karatedo Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia next year after bagging gold medals in last weekend’s Milo Super Karate Kids national tournament held in SM Parañaque.

Ten-year old Rafael Vidal bagged two gold medals in the 10-11 years old division  of the kata and kumite competitions.

His six-year-old sister Ayanna Lein Vidal also bagged one gold medal in the 6-7 years old kumite competition.

Adding success to the team’s campaign last weekend were the medals won by other karatekas.

The eldest among the Vidal siblings, Rica Faith, bagged a bronze in the 12-13 years old division while Christine Resoor bagged a silver  medal in the kumite event.

The team’s other medalists were Nicole Resoor and Jayson Ariola, who won bronze medals.

The tournament last weekend served as the qualifiers for next year’s Milo International Karatedo Tournament.
