JUBENILE Abellar netted the most coveted Rider of the Year (ROY)  award in the “Awards Night” of the 2014 MS Motosuit Motocross Series last Saturday night at the PAGCOR’s Teatro Casino of the Waterfront-Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Abellar sealed the accolade after he ruled the pro and expert open categories of last year’s series composed of six tournaments  held in various places in Cebu and other parts of the Visayas.

Abellar’s father, Joval, received the award in lieu of his son, who failed to make it to the event.

“Thank you to the MS Motosuit Motocross Series for this award. Jubenile’s hard work and efforts paid off with this award,” said the elder Abellar.

Jubenile joins an elite cast of former ROY winners that include Pepo Rubi, Jon-Jon Adlawan and Burnok Mangusong.

Other category champions were also recognized in the event.

They were Roscel Gungob (executive A and B), Jed Luna (open enduro and the beginners open production), John Flores (intermediate), BJ Pepito (65cc), Keith Lloyd Abrenica (mini class 65cc), Alex Abalo (local enduro), JP Cuesta (beginners open production), Jonathan Cuyos (executive C), and JayR Gualiza (underbone).
