CEBUANO keglers Gj Buyco and Cole Co will represent the country in the 16th Asian School Tenpin Bowling Championships slated July 25-31 at South China Athletic Association Bowling Centre in Hong Kong.
Tournament proper will start on July 27 with the staging of the girls’ singles event and boys’ singles.
The participating countries include Australia; China; Hong Kong, China; Japan; Macau, China; Philippines; Singapore; Chinese Taipei; and Qatar.
This will be the second international tournament for the 18-year-old Buyco, a member of the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (Cetba), after he competed in 15th Asian School Tenpin Bowling Championships held in Jakarta, Indonesia last year.
On the other hand, Co, a member of the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA), will be making his debut in the international bowling tournament scene.
