BO-PK councilors defend deferment of sale of SRP lots

bopk councilCouncilors aligned with the Bando Osmena-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK) defended their move to ask for the deferment of the sale of the South Road Properties (SRP) lots.

They said the legal opinion of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) is a “serious matter” that should be looked into instead of being treated as a mere technicality.

“We want to help the city. We are not against this sale outright. We just want to make sure that the sale is done properly and without doubts,” the statement read.

The councilors who were present during the issuance of the statement were Eugenio Gabuya Jr., Roberto Cabarrubias, Nestor Archival Sr., Margarita Osmena, Alvin Dizon, Sisinio Andales, Nida Cabrera, Lea Japson and Alvin Arcilla.

They said Councilor Mary Ann De Los Santos is also supporting the statement but couldn’t attend the press conference. The 10 councilors voted in favor of the resolution asking the deferment of the sale.
