More devotees to join Sto. Nino procession
The Augustinian fathers are expecting more people to take part in this year’s solemn procession.
F. Jonas Mejares, a rector of the centuries-old basilica said that number of people attending the religious activities in honor of the Child Jesus is increasing every year.
The Fiesta Señor celebration kicks off with the annual Walk with Jesus from Fuente Osmeña to the Basilica del Sto. Niño at 4 a.m. tomorrow.
This morning the Augustinians and workers at the basilica are preparing for the first day of the novena.
At least four big screens are mounted inside and outside the basilica complex. Red and yellow flags have been put up all over the pilgrim center where 11 masses daily will be held starting tomorrow until the feast of the Sto. Niño on January 19.
