Pink Month: Ayala Center organizes fitness activities

CELEBRATING wellness this Pink October, Ayala Center Cebu takes the first steps in promoting healthy living with its “Work It, Wear It, – Think Pink” campaign.

Together with its beneficiary, ICanServe Foundation Inc., and other partner organizations, Ayala has laid out a series of fitness activities to help hundreds of breast cancer patients nationwide.

A one-hour Pink Yoga session will be held at the Zen Garden every Monday and Wednesday at 5 p.m. The Brazilian martial arts that combine the elements of dance, acrobatics and music with Capoeira is scheduled every Monday at 6:30 p.m. at The Terraces. There will also be Pink Zumba Fitness Party on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at The Terraces.

On Wednesdays at 6 p.m., a mixed-martial arts workout will be conducted by Gold’s Gym at The Terraces. Then on Saturday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m., Italianni’s and Tonkatsu restaurants bring dance icon Regine Tolentino to lead a dynamic fitness session.

A perfect activity for the last day of the workweek is the Tai Chi every Friday at 7:30 a.m. at the Zen Garden.

To participate in these activities, register onsite for only P50 and support ICanServe’s mission to provide assistance to breast cancer patients.

On Oct. 18, the annual Pink October Run will kick off at The Terraces at 5:30 a.m. This is organized by The Philippine College of Surgeons – Cebu Eastern Visayas Chapter and the Philippine Society of General Surgeons – Cebu Eastern Visayas Chapter.

Interested participants may register at the October Run booth located at the Active Zone. Registration fee is P350 for the 3k, 6k and 12k distances. For inquiries, call the Ayala Center Cebu Concierge at 2315342 local 324.
