Bakud for Davide-Magpale

October 21,2015 - 01:20 AM

The alliance between the Liberal Party (LP) Cebu chapter and the Durano clan-led Bakud remains  solid in Cebu’s 5th district   for the  reelection bids of  Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale.

Borbon Mayor Bernard Sepulveda of   Bakud said this is assured  despite the decision by Rep. Ace Durano of Cebu’s 5th district to manage  the presidential campaign of Sen. Grace Poe and running mate Francis Escudero.

As provincial chairman of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), Ace declared his support for Poe,  who filed her bid as an  independent.

Sepulveda said Durano’s decision was a personal choice. Will the rest of Bakud in the  5th district of  north Cebu’s potential 350,000 voters go for Poe?

Sepulveda said they are waiting for a party decision on  this.

“We already pledged support for the governor and vice governor. The presidential race is a different story,” he told Cebu Daily News.
