AN ARMED man was shot dead by a policeman after he ran amok in Malabuyoc town, southern Cebu last Wednesday night.
Diomedes Alusado, 36, was shot in the forehead by PO3 Diosdado Eran.
Eran was one of the policemen who rushed to barangay Poblacion around 8 p.m. last Wednesday after receiving a report that a man was causing trouble there.
When they arrived in the area, police saw Alusado pointing a gun at another man.
Police asked the man to surrender but he ran.
When police gave chase, the man allegedly pointed a gun at them, prompting PO3 Eran to shoot him.
Police said they recovered from the man a .357 revolver with three bullets.
Police said some neighbors complained that the man would usually fire his gun indiscriminately when drunk.
SPO2 Eduard Villarte said they are still waiting for the man’s relatives if they will file charges against Eran.
