An NGO employee suffered third degree burns after seven persons tried to burn him alive in sitio Lunas, barangay Buot in Cebu City at 9 a.m. today.
Councilor Dave Tumulak, who chairs the Cebu City Disaster Risk Management Council, said the 27-year-old victim identified as Daniel Uy claimed that he was followed by six men and one girl who poured gasoline on him.
Uy said he knew three of the six men who followed him.
Uy visited the mountain barangays to coordinate with schools on their feeding programs including sitio Lunas where the incident happened.
He asked help from the farmers in Sudlon 1 who brought him to the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).
