Marijuana planter arrested

A 49-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for cultivating marijuana  in a secluded area in Badian town, southwest Cebu last Thursday.

Police identified the suspect as Oscar Dioquino.

Badian police led by Senior Insp. Henry Obeso rushed to sitio Tipolo, barangay Kanlagan after receiving a tip that a marijuana  farm was  cultivated in the area.

Police uprooted 198 stalks of marijuana and seized a .357 caliber revolver with two bullets from Dioquino.

Charges for violation of Article 2 of the Republic Act 9165 and illegal possession of firearms will be filed against the man, police said.
