Application of gun ban exemption may be done online

APPLICATION forms for gun ban exemption during the election season will soon be available online.

Lawyer Ferdinand Gujilde, Commission on Elections (Comelec) Cebu provincial election officer, said  the forms will be accessible most likely next week.

“We’ve agreed in principle, but the link to the forms aren’t on the website yet. The memorandum was issued last Dec. 2,” he told reporters yesterday.

Once the update goes up, interested parties may click on a “gun ban banner” on the Comelec website, www.comelec.gov.ph, to download the form.

Once the form is filled up, parties must print the copies and submit it physically to the Comelec office.

Necessary documents and annexes to their forms must be attached to the form, said Gujilde.
