THE 1993 Dragons kept their immaculate record intact after scoring two victories in Division 3 action in the University of San Carlos North Alumni Basketball Conference Sinulog Homecoming Cup last weekend at the USC North Campus gym along Mango Avenue.

With crafty left-handed big man Bong Eleazar leading the way with 27 points, the Dragons took care of the 1989 Spartans, 93-64. Jade Ylanan also added 14 while John Soon contributed 13 in that woefully lopsided match.

They then completed their successful weekend with a hard-earned 56-51 win over the 1992 Little Rascals in what was an intense match-up between two unbeaten squads.

This time, it was Noel Lerio who stepped up to contribute 15 points while Eleazar and Ylanan ably supported the cause with a combined 25 points.

The Dragons and the defending champions 1985 Legends currently share the lead in the standings with identical 6-0 win-loss records.

The Little Rascals, on the other hand, nabbed a 75-65 win over the 1986 Mighty Geeks as Lennart Perales and Clint del Rosario waxed hot from the field with the former scoring 22 and the latter adding 21.

The win allowed Batch 1992 to grab solo second place with a 5-1 card.

In other results, the 1988 Barakos dropped the Mighty Geeks, 75-65, behind Edmund Odulio’s 22 and Dindo Sausa’s 20. The 1987 Bro also earned a 68-54 win over the 1989 Spartans.
