THE PRIDE of the Municipality of Alcantara, Eugene “El Torrero” Toquero, will try to rebound from a loss when he battles Wu Ze of China in the undercard of One Championships: Spirit of Champions this Saturday in the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Toquero lost to Japanese Asuka Mikami last October in Kuala Lumpur, The former member of the Philippine national team for Muay Thai has seven wins with two losses. His opponent, Ze, has three wins and two losses to his name. Both will fight in the 125-pound division.
Toquero made waves in the flyweight division when he topped down Brianata Rosadhi last April before losing to Mikami.
Headlining the card is former UFC heavyweight contender Fil-American Brandon Vera. He will fight Paul Cheng of China in One Championship’s final card this year.
