A 16-YEAR-OLD boy shot dead a 52-year-old farmer following a fistfight in Tuburan town, northern Cebu.
The boy later surrendered to barangay officials and was turned over to the police.
The fatality, Welito Deliotas, was shot in the back.
Police said the two argued when the boy reprimanded the farmer for pasturing his cow near his field.
At the height of the argument, the two got into a fistfight.
Police said the farmer threw a knife at the boy but only the knife’s handle hit the boy’s chest.
The boy then took an improvised shotgun or pugakhang and shot the fleeing farmer, said PO3 Douglas Maravillas.
