A collector of an appliance store was shot dead while he was taking shelter from the rain in a guardhouse at the South Road Properties in Cebu City.
Police have yet to establish the motive in the killing of Rodolfo Bangquiao, 49, of barangay Lawaan Uno, Talisay City.
Police said the victim was driving a motorcycle on his way to work in Mandaue City when it started to rain.
The victim decided to take shelter in a guardhouse at Gate 2 of SRP.
Two men onboard a motorcycle arrived. The backrider approached Bangquiao and shot him in the head and body.
The gunman used the victim’s motorcycle as his get-away vehicle, said SPO4 Alex Dacua, homicide investigator of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
At least two spent shells of a .45 caliber pistol were recovered at the crime scene, police said.
In barangay Inuboran, Naga City, a 36-year-old man was shot and killed by an unidentified assailant Thursday night.
Marvin Montebon, 36, suffered gunshot wounds in different parts of the body.
The victim was attacked while he was on his way to a clinic to have his wounds he sustained in a traffic accident treated.
