Man stabbed by brother in father’s wake
A 27-year-old man was stabbed and wounded by his older brother during the vigil wake of their father in Toledo City on Tuesday morning.
Police said the attack may have been triggered by the emotional stress over the death in the family. Another theory was that the brothers had an old grudge.
Orland Belsis was having coffee at home when he was stabbed in the back and armpit by his brother Marlon, 33.
SPO2 Benedicto Bobilles, Toledo police investigator, said their sister told police that Marlon had not eaten or slept properly since their father died.
Before the attack, Marlon told his siblings that he saw their father tending their farm.
Marlon was later arrested by responding policemen.
