Baby thief, boyfriend charged for kidnapping

Kidnapping charges were filed Thursday afternoon against call center agent Melissa Londres and her boyfriend Philip Almeria for allegedly stealing an infant from Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

Assisted by lawyer and former prosecutor Mario Montenegro, the two suspects requested for a preliminary investigation so they could answer the accusations leveled against them.

Prosecutor Aida Sanchez gave them 10 days to submit a counter-affidavit. The couple declined to answer questions from reporters at the prosecutors’ office. They said their lawyer will answer for them
