PACKS of suspected shabu worth P1.2 million were seized from a 21-year-old man, who was arrested in a buy-bust operation in barangay Calamba, Cebu City last Thursday afternoon.
Police said they seized 14 medium-sized packs and 74 sachets believed to contain shabu from Mark Ryan Alfante.
Alfante allegedly sold a pack of shabu to an operative of the City Intelligence Branch (CIB) who acted as buyer.
Supt. Romeo Santander, chief of CIB, said they suspect that Alfante is an underling of a drug lord in the area.
Santander said they transacted with Alfante through cellular phone.
Alfante refused to comment on his arrest. He is detained at the Cebu City Police Office pending the filing of charges against him.
