A 54-YEAR-OLD farmer was killed after he was hacked by his friend during a drinking session in barangay Sac-sac, Dalaguete town southern Cebu.
Police said the head of Renato Alega was almost severed after he was repeatedly hacked by Jovanie Ignacio, 29.
Police said the two men and other friends started drinking Thursday morning and came to halt sometime in the afternoon when the altercation broke out.
SPO3 Clito Pia said Alega suddenly ran amok and challenged his friends to a fight.
Police said Alega ran but was chased and attacked by the suspect, who fled after the incident.
