THE International Librarians Network (ILN) announced the opening of its peer mentoring program.
Interested participants are required to have an internet connection; must be fluent in English; and willing to communicate with their mentor at least an hour per week.
“The ILN has been very instrumental in the advancement of the Library and Information Science (LIS) in this time of reforms and drastic developments in the LIS profession. It is through ILN’s facilitation of unique international partnerships that librarians across the globe equip and make themselves ready for the challenging times,” said John Louie Zabala, the ILN Ambassador to the Philippines and an LIS professor of the University of San Jose – Recoletos.
“Skill building, technology transfer and lasting friendships is what ILN is all about among many others”, Zabala added.
Applications are open until midnight of Feb. 14.
